An Autumn Wedding at Newfields Indianapolis –
Oh, where to begin with Tori and Brian’s wedding day. The newlyweds hosted their late-summer fête at Newfields Art Museum in the heart of Indianapolis. One of the city’s most picturesque venues by far!

The gentlemen prepared at the Omni Severin, a historic downtown Indianapolis hotel with classic touches and grand architecture. Flushed in dreamy light, the lobby and hotel suite offered the perfect backdrop for portraits and quiet candids before departing for Newfields.

The bridal party got ready at Tori’s parents’ home, which was a sentimental and peaceful atmosphere. Some of my favorite moments of the day were shared here. It was a slow start to such a beautiful day. After Tori donned her stunning silk gown from Danielle Frankel, she shared an emotional first look with her father outside.

Their color palette featured tones of brown, mustard, burnt red, mauve, and lilac–– a perfect way to blend summers end with the start of autumn. These hues were featured throughout the floral design, crafted by Duet Floral Studio. This color palette was also shown in the perfectly-assorted bridesmaid dresses of different styles.

Tori and Brian’s ceremony took place at the Lilly Terrace, one of Newfields’ most beloved wedding locations. At the end of the aisle was a ground floral arch with rising delphinium of a lavender hue. Guests strolled through the scenic formal gardens, champagne in hand, to reach the terrace. (Every guest looked incredible. Their fashion was unmatched!)

Following the ceremony, cocktail hour ensued out front of the Indianapolis Museum of Art. Their cocktail hour felt like an extension of the gardens. Elevated, relaxed, and designed for connection. The hors d’oeuvres were especially fun to photograph and were beautifully presented.

For their reception, Tori and Brian opted for a live band (Bluewater Kings Band) which made the evening feel even more intimate. As the sun began to dip behind the trees, we slipped out for golden-hour portraits. Soft light, quiet gardens, and a few minutes for them to take in the day together was the perfect ending to our time together.

If these moments spoke to you, I’d be honored to capture your wedding day. Let’s connect here!
