A Spring Garden Wedding at The Ritz Charles Garden Pavilion–– Painterly, down-to-earth, and graceful are the first words that come to mind when describing Katie and Brian’s early-spring wedding. Their celebration came to life at The Ritz Charles in Carmel, Indiana, which was the perfect location for their March wedding!

The morning began slow and unhurried, which is just how a wedding morning should be. Our sweet couple got ready at their newly-purchased home and shared the morning with their closest loved ones. There is something especially meaningful about starting off the day in a personal space. Katie’s lovely embellished gown is from The Wedding Studio Carmel, and she wore her mother’s wedding veil… One of my favorite sentiments from the day. 🤍

Katie and Brian’s flatlays were a joy to style. Knowing that their design would heavily feature green, lavender, cream, and mauve, I worked to tie this palette into the styling surface and antiques featured. Their full day-of stationery suite was designed by Empress Stationery and set the tone for the entire day.

Songbirds were a large part of K & B’s wedding design, thoughtfully done by their Indianapolis planner Emily Ventura Designs. Songbirds were quietly layered into every part of the day. Tucked in flowers, tied into their flatlays, etc. My favorite moment was the hand-painted aisle runner, created by Original Runners. It tied the whole chapel together!

The weather during cocktail hour was a dream. 70 degrees and partly cloudy, which is a rare gift in March! Friends and family enjoyed charcuterie bites, signature cocktails, and mingling. Guests were encouraged to leave the couple a note on blank playing cards, which was another highlight of their garden cocktail hour.

A moment of appreciation for Patti of Anne Grey Flowers, whose vision brought such intention to this special day! The florals felt distinctly “spring”; Airy, gathered, and polished. Katie’s bouquet was lush and complementary of her bridal look. A few of my personal favorite boutique blooms were featured, such as hellebores, sweet pea, and lisianthus.

As cocktail hour came to a close, guests collected their escort cards from a thoughtfully styled table featuring a striking campanula centerpiece. They then continued to find their table in the Garden Pavilion! Table linens and plate chargers were selected from BBJ La Tavola and transformed the space.
